Queen Elizabeth II Sapphire Blue Brooch With Austrian Crystal & Silver Plate
Queen Elizabeth II Sapphire Blue Brooch With Austrian Crystal & Silver Plate
Reproduction of the Prince Albert Sapphire brooch, a statement keepsake piece of jewellery in a rich blue sapphire colour.
One of Queen Elizabeth II favourite jewels was the Prince Albert brooch which dates back to the 1800s. In 1840, Prince Albert secretly commissioned Garrards to make a sapphire and diamond brooch for his bride to be, Victoria. He gave her the brooch on the night of their wedding, and was so adored by Victoria that she wore it frequently. Passed through the Royal family, this (until recently) was part of Queen Elizabeth II collection.
Brooch measures 42mm x 32mm.
The brooch includes our branded Staged Jewels drawstring bag to keep these in pristine condition or for perfect gift giving. Care for me with no chemicals: buff with a dry cloth only.
